Chancellor John Healey will provide £15 million to the Office for the Impact Economy over three years to fund schemes aimed at preventing misogyny and improving outcomes for women and girls across the UK. The investment is expected to be confirmed in the budget on 28 October 2026.

The fund will support programmes that may include mentoring for young people, workplace training and communications campaigns. It will also underpin Minister for Women and Equalities Bridget Phillipson's misogyny prevention taskforce.

The government says the £15 million is intended to act as a base to attract additional match funding from corporate partners and philanthropists. The fund will operate a bidding process through which organisations can receive grants.

Phillipson called the fund "a critical step" as the government works to "confine misogyny to the history books". Healey said every woman and girl deserves to feel "safe, respected and able to pursue their ambitions".
