EU Civil Protection Mechanism marks 25 years of joint disaster response
The EU Civil Protection Mechanism turns 25, marking a quarter-century of European countries joining forces to save lives when disasters strike. The anniversary was noted by the European Commission on 23 October 2026.
Two Yas Heat ambassadors secure 2027 FIA Formula 3 seats
Rashid Al Dhaheri and Keanu Al Azhari, ambassadors of the Yas Heat driver development programme at Yas Marina Circuit, have secured seats in the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship. Rashid Al Dhaheri will race with Van Amersfoort Racing and Keanu Al Azhari with Hitech GP, placing two UAE drivers among the 30-driver international grid.
Both drivers began their single-seater careers in Formula 4 with Yas Heat support. The programme develops young racing talent from as early as five years old through karting and into single-seater racing.
Ali Al Beshr, General Manager of Yas Marina Circuit, said the achievement reflects the talent and ambition emerging from the UAE and is a significant milestone for the country's motorsport ecosystem.
